Happy anniversary to my baby cold water. She's the one that went to college and is now bringing home the bread.

When I was writing this song first, I remember getting a bit stuck in the main melody that comes in halfway through. I would just listen to those bars on a loop in Ableton. It was sort of meditative, and relaxing in a way. A couple of people over the last year had mentioned that to me too, they felt it was something that enjoyed getting a little lost in - which was a very, very big deal for me. That's the highest kind of praise in my book.

With that in mind, I had thought that maybe an instrumental would be a nice idea. Something to listen to that doesn't have my voice in it, distracting whoever is listening.

I always find that I'm more interested in harmony and instrumentation, and like to focus more on how things sound as a whole, as opposed to getting hung up on what people are saying - for the most part - so it was a nice experiment.

I also threw in some sea sounds too, because I had to. There are plenty of us missing her at the moment, for sure.

Put the headphones in. Get out in the sun if you can. Enjoy x
